Cervical Screening

A free cervical smear test is available to all women aged 25 to 60
It the most effective way to prevent cervical caner
You must be registered with Cervical Check to avail of the free test
You can do this at www.cervical.ie

Breast Check

All women are encouraged to perform regular self checks for breast lumps
Should a lump be found that you are concerned about it is best to seek a medical opinion and if your doctor is concerned you can be referred on for further testing

Antenatal Care and Infant Care

We provide antenatal care services in conjunction with your hospital consultant
After the birth of your child we can provide a 2 week and 6 week check followed by routine vaccinations at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 12 months and 13 months

Contraception

We offer a full range of contraceptive services including:
Prescription of the contraceptive pill or the contraceptive patch
Prescription of the morning after pill
Placement and removal of Implanon devices (The Implanon is a device that is placed under the skin in your arm and provides contraceptive cover for 3 years)
Placement and removal of the Mirena Coil (The Mirena Coil is a small device that is placed into the womb and will provide contraceptive cover for 5 years)

Preconceptual and Fertility Advice

If you are planning to become pregnant it is a good idea to come in for some preconceptual advice
We provide first line tests and advice if you are having problems conceiving

Sexual Health

Most sexually transmitted infections are easily treatable but only if they are detected
They will commonly show no symptoms
We can provide screening for all sexually transmitted infections on request
